Janita "J" Buck-King was born and raised in Louisville, KY. Growing up she always had a passion for hair. J attended AAMU in 2008 to obtain a mathematics degree. However, In 2012 she decided to follow her dreams of becoming a natural hair stylist and hasn't looked back since. She attended Virginia College of Huntsville for her cosmetology certification followed by training under natural stylists and certified trichologist. Through highs and lows she held onto her cosmetology license (2013) and continues to educate herself on rising healthy hair trends.

 

Janita prides herself in customer service, open communication, great salon experiences, and reasonable prices. She specializes in natural hair for women, men, and children including but not limited to: braids, silk wraps, re-twists, etc. She is currently working on her certification to become a Certified Trichologist under the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP). J's ultimate goal is to make a change in the industry and rebuild the salon structure.
